I Squared Capital is an independent global infrastructure investment manager focusing on energy, utilities, telecom and transport in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. In 2018, I Squared Capital decided to open its new corporate HQs at the PH level of 600 Brickell World Plaza. The design consisted of an open work environment with no assigned offices, and plenty of conferencing areas and collaborative workspaces. The architectural conditions inherent of the core and shell of this particular floor informed the overall layout, ceiling and lighting conditions. Unique lighting elements were used to accentuate these conditions and embrace the inherent massive scale of the space, as well as the roofline conditions of the building and the vast amount of fenestration all around the premises. The lighting design was conceptualized to be iconic even from the outside of the building where feature lighting is visible from street view as well as adjacent buildings.
